MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007856 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 5, 2024, for 'adjustable vehicle support device for staircase.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable vehicle support device for staircase consisting of an L-shaped frame 1 designed to be placed on staircase steps, with frame 1 equipped with camera 4 to identify the presence and type of vehicle nearby, the first portion 2 features suction cups 5 activated by the microcontroller to secure the frame 1 to the steps, for two-wheelers, motorized sliders 7 integrated between the second portion 3 and frame 1 move triangular members 6 together, providing a path for safe crossing, meanwhile in case of four-wheelers, an ultrasonic sensor detects the distance between wheels, adjusting the sliders 7 accordingly, further a thermal imaging camera 8 detects nearby animals or insects and with help of an integrated speaker 9 generates an alarming sound to deter animals, while electronic sprinklers 10 eliminate insects, ensuring a safe passage for vehicles on the staircase."
