MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013276 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 23, 2024, for 'adjustable vehicle protection device for off-roading.'
Inventor(s) include Kuldeep Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable vehicle protection device for off-roading, comprises of a frame 1 installed with an imaging unit 3 to detect presence of any obstacle or uneven terrain ahead of the user, sharp wedges are integrated on end of the panel 2 that are dragged over the surface in a manner to turn soil on the surface in a forward direction for detecting any obstacle present on the surface, pressure sensor integrated on the panel 2 end for detecting any pressure applied on the panel 2 due to the detected obstacle, an air inflatable unit fabricated on the actuators 4 and chassis, a curved member 5 arranged on the panel 2 for positioning the curved member 5 over front portion of the vehicle, and speaker 9 integrated on the frame 1 to alert for a driver of the vehicle to dodge the obstacle."
