MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019392 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'adjustable vegetable washing device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable vegetable washing device, comprising a hemi-spherical shaped body 1 developed underneath a water dispenser, a pair of handles 2 attached with the body 1 gripped by a user for positioning the body 1 underneath the dispenser, a hemi-spherical shaped perforated member 3 attached with the body 1 for filling the member 3 with water, multiple pneumatic bristles 4 arranged on the member 3 for cleaning the vegetables, an imaging unit 5 mounted on the body 1 determining successful cleaning of the vegetables, multiple iris apertures 6 integrated within the member 3 for dispensing water, a clamping unit 7 attached with the body 1 for gripping and tilting the body 1 to dispense water, an air blower 8 assembled on the body 1 drying the vegetables and a pair of supporting member 9 attached with the body 1 securing the body 1 over a fixed surface."
