MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441014212 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'adjustable utensil storage device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Gnanaprakasam Thangavel.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable utensil storage device comprises of a frame 1 having pair of inverted U-shaped rods 2 developed to be installed on a fixed surface, plate 3is arranged underneath rods 2 for supporting rods 2 over frame, plurality of shelves 4 accessed by user for accommodating different kinds of utensils, artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 captures multiple images in vicinity of frame, plurality of telescopically operated links 6 extend/retract for adjusting distance in between shelves 4, tray 7 for collecting water dripping from utensils, weight sensor for monitoring weight of water collected in tray, motorized hinge 10 integrated in between sliders 8 and tray to tilt tray to dispense collected water from tray, timer integrated with microcontroller for monitoring time duration for which frame is not being accessed by user, plurality of motorized rollers 11 rotate in pre-defined direction for unwrapping covering sheet to prevent accumulation of dust on utensils."
