MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010391 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'adjustable usb peripheral handling device.'
Inventor(s) include Rachna Manchanda; Dr. Rinkesh Mittal; Abhishek Tiwari; Aniket Tiwari; and Himanshu Bhatt.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable USB peripheral handling device comprising a platform 1 positioned near a laptop, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 determines positioning of USB ports along with availability of ports, a laser sensor detects placement of a USB peripheral that is placed by a user on platform 1, multiple motorized wheel 3 attached underneath platform 1 to maneuver body, an inverted L-shaped telescopic bar 5 extends to position a C-shaped clamp 6 in vicinity to peripheral to engage peripheral into available port, an optical sensor installed on platform 1 for detecting any physical damage on peripheral and if detected then a pair of robotic grippers 7 get actuated for disassembling a circuit board from peripheral and followed by actuation of grippers 7 to engage board into available port."
