MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018878 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'adjustable transformer maintenance device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Sanjay Kumar; and Dr. Bed Prakash.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable transformer maintenance device, comprising a cuboidal body 1 positioned on an electric pole near a transformer, by means of suction cups 2, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 3 installed on body 1 which determines breakdown of fuse/jumper wire, a pair of robotic gripper 4 assembled on body 1 for disengaging jumper wire/fuse, a multi-sectioned chamber 5 for storing wire roll and multiple fuses and one of them is gripped and replaced with damaged one by gripper 4, a smoke sensor mapped on body 1 which detects smoke near fuse/jumper wire, an electronic nozzle 6 connected to a reservoir 7 and dispenses a fire extinguishing agent over detected smoke, a current sensor detects current supply in jumper wire/ fuse and if detected then an alert notification is sent to a computing unit associated with a concerned authority's server."
