MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006615 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'adjustable traction enhancing device for footwear.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Ruchi Singla; Dr. Rupinder Kaur Sodhi; Dr. Deepika Sharma; and Mandeep Kaur.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable traction enhancing device for footwear, comprising a platform 1 having multiple plates 2 installed underneath footwear by means of two suction cups 3, a laser sensor installed on platform 1 for detecting size of footwear, a motorized drawer arrangement integrated within the platform 1 for increasing size of platform 1 for proper accommodation of footwear on platform 1, a tilt sensor installed on the platform 1 for detecting angle of a ground surface, multiple motorized sliders 4 assembled on platform 1 for adjusting positioning of multiple blocks 5 assembled on sliders 4 in order to provide proper posture to the user while walking on the surface, a tactile sensor assembled on the platform 1 for detecting hardness of the surface, multiple motorized iris lids 6 assembled on platform 1 for opening, multiple pneumatic pins 7 assembled underneath lids 6 which extend to penetrate inside surface."
