MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006606 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'adjustable tool holding device for ladders.'

Inventor(s) include Ramandeep Singh Deorda; Ravinder Singh; and Anuraag Tsewang Namgail.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable tool holding device for ladders is illustrated, comprising a frame having an elongated rod 1 developed to be positioned horizontally on a ladder, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 and synced with an ultrasonic sensor for capturing and processing multiple images in the vicinity of the frame, a pair of motorized clamps 3 for acquiring a grip over the rails of the ladder, plurality of suction cups 4 for providing additional grip to the frame on the ladder, a telescopically operated vertical bar 5 to grip over the rails of the ladder, a motorized gripper 6 to acquire a grip over the rails of the ladder, plurality of hooks 7 for acquiring a grip over the rails of the ladder, and an extendable L-shaped plate 8 to support the containers or tool box on the frame."
