MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024679 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'adjustable tire mounting/demounting assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Sohan Lal; and Rajesh Gupta.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable tire mounting/demounting assistive device, comprises a platform 1 positioned on a fixed surface, plurality of suction cups 2 adheres the platform 1 on the surface, an expandable circular slot accommodates tire, a LiDAR sensor determines dimensions of rim of the tire, plurality of clamps 4 hold the rim of the tire, an imaging unit 5 captures images of vicinity of the frame, a link 6 positions C-shaped clamp 7 to grip the tire, a motorized sliding unit 9 translates a robotic arm 10 in proximity to sidewall, robotic arm 10 grips the sidewall, a hydraulically operated rod 11 extends/retracts to position V-shaped member 12 on the gap, motorized hinge joint 13 applies upward force on the sidewall to unmount the sidewall from the rim."
