MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025472 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'adjustable surface shaping device.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable surface shaping device, comprises of an elongated body 1 crafted with a cavity that is installed with a pair of sliders 2 positioned over lateral sides of the cavity, a pair of sliders 2 for translating plurality of rings 3, plurality of rings 3 to position fingers of the user, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 4 for capturing and processing images of the user's fingers, a motorized iris lid 5 to close in view of gripping the fingers, a touch interactive display panel 6 to enable the user to provide an input, plurality of telescopic rods 7 to extend and retract in a manner to regulate shape of plurality of plates, plurality of motorized hinge to regulate of shaped of the plates 9 in accordance with the user-specified shape, plurality of Light emitting diodes 10 to illuminate light in the surroundings to maintain appropriate visibility."
