MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531020380 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 6, for 'adjustable spare wheel securing device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable spare wheel securing device comprises of disc 101 developed to be installed on lateral face of spare wheel 102 of vehicle, disc 101 is installed with an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 103 to determine dimensions of wheel, an expandable pulley arrangement 104 integrated on disc 101 to get expanded/contracted as per determined dimensions, motorized clamps 105 integrated on periphery of disc 101 to acquire a grip on wheel, motorized hinges 106 integrated on peripheral portion of disc 101 to tilt peripheral portion of disc 101, extendable links are integrated on clamps get extended for applying pressure on tire of wheel, pressure sensor integrated on links for monitoring pressure resisted by tire, LDR (light dependent resistor) mounted on disc 101 for monitoring intensity of light in vicinity of disc 101, LEDs 107 (light emitting diodes) integrated on disc 101 for providing proper visibility in surrounding of disc 101."
