MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020097 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 18, 2024, for 'adjustable sheet welding device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable sheet welding device comprises a body 1 integrated with a handle 2 accessed by a user for positioning the body 1 over a portion of overlapped sheet, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on the body 1 determine location of the overlapped portion with respect to the body 1, plurality of motorized wheels 4 arranged underneath the body 1 moves the body 1, a telescopically operated L-shaped rod 5 is arranged on the body 1 for positioning a plate 6 integrated on the rod 5 in between the overlapped portion of sheet, a heating coil integrated on the plate 6 to heat the overlapped portion, an extendable L-shaped bar 7 is mounted on the body 1 for positioning end of the bar 7 over the overlapped portion, and a motorized roller 8 integrated on the bar 7 to position the roller 8 over the overlapped portion."
