MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024074 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26, 2024, for 'adjustable seating device.'

Inventor(s) include Pratishtha Rajvanshi; and Krishan Raj Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable seating device, comprising a cylindrical body 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, a cushioned plate 2 arranged on the body 1 that is accessed by a user for acquiring a seating posture on the body 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on the body 1 to determine body dimensions of the user, plurality of extendable curved flaps 4 arranged on the plate 2 for establishing a backrest for the user, plurality of electromagnetically powered springs 5 arranged on the body 1 to expand/contract up-to to a required length for balancing the body 1 on the surface and plurality of buttons 6 integrated on the body 1 that is accessed by the user for initiating a user-desired movement of the body 1 while being accommodated on the body 1."
