MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023476 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'adjustable roofing sheet bending device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable roofing sheet bending device, comprising an elongated body 1 having a handle 2 accessed by a user, a C-shaped member 3 engaged with end portion of a sheet installed on roof of a house, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 determine dimensions of extra sheet protruding from roof, plurality of flaps 6 are oriented by a motorized hinge joint, to position flaps 6 on peripheral portion of sheet, a suction unit grips over sheet, a speaker 7 notifies user to apply force on handle 2, a pressure sensor detects pressure applied by user, a laser crack detection sensor detects presence of cracks on sheet, an electronic nozzle connected with a chamber 8 to dispense adhesive solution over detected crack, and a robotic arm 9 positions a plate 10 over crack for scrapping applied adhesive liquid over crack."
