MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024682 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'adjustable resting assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Kamala Kant Parashar; and Anushka Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable resting assistive device, comprising a platform 1 developed to be positioned at an inclined angle on a fixed surface, a U-shaped structure 2 is arranged on the platform 1 to support for platform 1, a cushioned member 3 assembled in structure 2 for securing member 3 on the platform 1 for enabling user to get accommodated on member 3, plurality of suction cups 4 are arranged on the platform 1 to adhere to cushioned member 3, a microphone 5 to provide input specifications regarding a user-desired temperature of member 3 required for resting, a speaker 7 to produce audio signals for notifying user to maintain correct posture, a pair of motorized hinge joint 8 integrated in structure 2 and tilt as per user's posture for changing orientation and plurality of motorized rollers 9 to rotate that translates inserted member 3 in structure 2 out of structure 2."
