MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411009818 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 13, 2024, for 'adjustable protection device for car doors.'
Inventor(s) include Laxmi Goswami.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable protection device for car doors comprises of a rectangular plate 1 utilize to install on a card's door, at least five primary suction cups 2 are arranged underneath the plate 1 for affixing with the door in order to mount the plate 1 on the door, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 3 mounted on the plate 1 for detecting presence of any obstacle and distance between the obstacle and door, at least five motorized spherical wheels 4 arranged underneath the plate 1 for positioning the plate 1 at an appropriate location on the door, an ultrasonic sensor installed on the plate 1 for detecting distance between the car and any other car during parking, and an inverted L-shaped telescopic rod 5 arranged on the plate 1 for extending to position a secondary suction cup 6 on a ground surface to prevent opening of the door."
