MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019367 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'adjustable pipe-fitting device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Jalees Ahmed; and Aishwary Awasthi.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable pipe-fitting device, includes a frame 1 that forms the structural foundation of the device, a pair of plates 2 integrated with the frame 1 to engage the pipe in between them, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 installed on frame 1 to capture the images of the pipe placed between the plates 2, a flap 5 designed to make contact with the outer periphery of the pipe being fitted integrated with motorized hinges 6 ranging that enable controlled movement are integrated underneath each of the plate 2, a pair of handles 8 arranged on each of the plates 2 which serve as a point of contact for the users during pipe fitting to apply force over a connecting joint arranged on plate 2, a pair of telescopically operated rods 9 are arranged underneath said frame 1 to attain support for the frame 1."
