MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024681 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'adjustable pet animal walking and safety assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Keshchandra Singh; and Dr. Durgesh Wadhwa.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable pet animal walking and safety assistive device, comprising a body 1 developed to be worn by a pet over belly portion, a pair of straps 2 are attached with body 1 for securing body 1 with the pet, a pair of motorized rollers 3 integrated within body 1 and strap for tighten, a pair rods 4 configured with back portion of the body 1 to allow the caretaker to grip rods 4 and move the pet, a pair wheels 5 configured with the rods 4 for movement of the frame with the pet, an imaging unit 6 installed on body 1 to detect height of caretaker, electromagnetic spring 7 configured in between rods 4 and bar for absorbing jerk/ shock, a speaker 8 mounted on body 1 to notify caretaker to halt movement of the pet."
