MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019739 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'adjustable patient carriage device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sanjay Kumar; and Dr. Satyavir Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable patient carriage device, comprising a rectangular shaped extendable frame 1 developed to be held by at-least two persons, an expandable plate 2 hinged with frame 1 accessed by person to place a patient that is required to be carried from one location to another, a pair of handles 4 accessed by person to lift along with patient, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting patient's height, multiple straps 5 are accessed by person for securing patient on plate 2 by engaging a latch 6 attached with each strap 5 with multiple slots 7, a pressure sensor installed on strap 5 for detecting pressure applied by strap 5 on patient's body, an angle sensor for detecting inclination angle of frame 1, an impact sensor for detecting any impact experienced by frame 1 due to collision with any obstacles."
