MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531020404 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 6, for 'adjustable parasol management assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Suman Sau.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable parasol management assistive device, comprises of an elongated body 101 having a square base 102, developed to be positioned on a ground surface for providing stability to body 101, a hollow shaft 103 is connected with body 101 by means of a L-shaped link 104, for enabling a user to manually connect a parasol within hollow shaft 103, a touch interactive display panel 105 integrated in body 101 for enabling a user to provide input specifications regarding requirement of shade, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 106 integrated in body 101 to determine height of user, a motorized slider arranged in between link 104 and body 101 in view of adjusting height of parasol and a locking unit incorporating multiple extendable pins arranged on link 104, inserted into holes provided on slider to lock parasol."
