MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017937 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 12, 2024, for 'adjustable object carrying device for bicycle.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable object carrying device for bicycle, comprises of telescopically operated frame 1 having a first and second portion connected with a seat post of a bicycle, a C-shaped member 2 is attached with first portion for accommodating the seat post, a proximity sensor detects accommodation of the seat post, a motorized hinge joint integrated within the member 2 to move the member 2, an ultrasonic sensor to detect length of the bicycle, a motorized pivot joint to move the platform 3 for allowing a user to place an object to be carried, a pair of straps 4 to secure object on platform 3, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 to determine size of the object, a rain sensor to detect presence of rain drops in proximity, a canopy 7 wrapped on a spool 8 to deploy and prevent object from rainwater."
