MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019390 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'adjustable neck resting device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sandeep Bishnoi.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable neck resting device comprises of a U-shaped frame 1 utilize to position on a head rest member 3 of a vehicle, an artificial intelligence-based image capturing module 2 to determine exact position of the user's neck, a sliding unit for positioning the frame 1 as per position of the user's neck, an inflatable member 4 installed for gripping the user's neck, a pressure sensor detect pressure applied by the member 4 over the neck portion, and angle sensor for detecting tilting of the user's neck, a universal joint for tilting the frame 1 as per tilting of the user's neck, a GPS module for detecting exact location of the user's vehicle and a vibrating unit for waking up the users in case the users gets detected to be sleeping via the image capturing module 2."
