MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411005540 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 27, 2024, for 'adjustable milking assistive device for cattle.'
Inventor(s) include Pardeep Kumar Jindal; Sarbpreet Kaur; and Sajjan Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable milking assistive device for cattle comprises of a frame 1 that is accessed by a user while milking an animal, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on the frame 1 to determine thickness of the animal's legs, motorized hinges 4 ranging from 4 to 6 in numbers integrated in between the plates 2 to tilt the plates 2 in a manner to encircle the animal's legs, electromagnetic strips ranging from 4 to 6 in numbers integrated on the plates 2 to acquire a grip over the animal's legs, a pair of electromagnetically powdered springs 5 integrated integrated in between the plates 2 get expanded/contracted to maintain an optimum distance in between the animal's legs, and an extendable flap 6 arranged on the frame 1 to cover an auxiliary container positioned in proximity to the frame 1 in which milk is being collected by the user."
