MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022829 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 23, 2024, for 'adjustable metallic workpiece cutting device.'

Inventor(s) include Sunil Kumar Gaur.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 24, under issue no. 43/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable metallic workpiece cutting device, comprising a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, a plate 2 arranged on the plate 2 that is accessed by a user for accommodating a metallic workpiece, an imaging unit 3 installed on the platform 1 to determine positioning of the workpiece on the plate 2, a touch interactive display panel 4 arranged on the platform 1 accessed by the user for selecting dimensions of the workpiece to be cut off from the workpiece, a motorized circular sliding unit 5 integrated on the platform 1 for positioning a motorized cutting blade 6 integrated on the sliding unit 5 over the evaluated pattern of the workpiece and a motorized roller 7 integrated on the platform 1 to rotate for rubbing an abrasive material fabricated on the roller 7 over cut portion of the workpiece in view of smoothening the workpiece."
