MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019716 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'adjustable metallic object bending and straightening device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Arvind Kumar; and Dr. Anil Kumar Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable metallic object bending and straightening device, comprises of a platform 1 arranged with a touch interactive display panel 2 to give input regarding dimensions into which a metallic object is to be bent or straightened, a cylindrical member 3 arranged on centre portion of the platform 1 that is accessed by a user for positioning the metallic object, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 is installed on the platform 1 to determine positioning of the object in proximity to the member 3, an expandable pulley arrangement 5 integrated on the member 3 to expand/contract for positioning multiple flaps integrated on out periphery of the member 3, an ultrasonic sensor assembled on the platform 1 for monitoring length till which the object is to be bend, and a robotic arm 11 arranged on the platform 1 and integrated with a cutter 10 to cut object from the user-specified dimension."
