MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019365 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'adjustable luggage carrying device for bicycles.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Pawan Kumar; and Dr. Deepak Dubey.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable luggage carrying device for bicycles comprises of a body 1 developed to be installed on carrier of a bicycle, a pair of motorized clamping units 2 for acquiring a grip on carrier in order to affix body 1 on bicycle, a button 3 accessed by a user for activating/de-activating device, an imaging unit 4 to determine dimensions of an object present in proximity to body 1, a chamber 5 attached with a motorized lid 6 that get opened for dispensing a collapsible bag in order to allow user to store object in bags, a speaker 7 to produce audio command for user to store object within sections, a gyroscope for monitoring angle of body 1 with respect to a ground surface and a motorized slider to translate a block integrated on slider in order to prevent disbalancing of bicycle due to weight of objects."
