MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023089 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 24, 2024, for 'adjustable load carrying assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable load carrying assistive device comprises a platform 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, wherein an ultrasonic sensor embedded on the platform 1 for determining presence of a user in proximity to the platform 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 installed on the platform 1 determine height of the user, a hydraulic actuator 3 arranged on the platform 1 to extend/retract for positioning a plate 4, an infrared sensor embedded on the plate and synced with the imaging unit to generate a 3-dimensional mapping of surroundings, a touch interactive display panel 5 installed on the platform 1 for user input, a motorized ball bearing arrangement 6 integrated in between the actuator and the platform 1 for rotating the platform 1, and a LiDAR sensor embedded on the platform 1 for detecting presence of any obstacles."
