MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025535 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'adjustable knee supporting device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Jyoti Singh; Anjoo Kamboj; Pallavi Ahirrao; Tanish Sharma; and Vanit Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable knee supporting device, comprising a U-shaped frame 1 accessed by a user for engaging the frame 1 on the user's forelegs, a pair of curved rods 2 integrated with a drawer arrangement 3 integrated in the frame 1 for accommodating the user's foreleg in between the rods 2, an imaging unit 4 installed on frame 1 to determine dimensions of user's foreleg, a flap 5 arranged on the first end by means of a pair of hinge joints 6, a plate 7 arranged at the second end of the rod 2 accessed by the user for positioning the hip portion on the plate 7, a microphone 9 integrated on the frame 1 for receiving voice command, plurality of wheels 8 arranged underneath the frame 1 to move frame 1 at user-specified direction."
