MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011185 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 10, for 'adjustable head resting assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable head resting assistive device comprises of a rectangular platform 101 having multiple suction cups 102 for adhering to bed's surface, for securing platform 101 at a user-desired edge of bed, a microphone 103 enables a user to provide input voice commands regarding resting/massaging, pair of extendable rods 104 extend/retract for deploying a resting unit, an imaging unit 106 determines dimensions of user's face, drawer arrangement increasing/decreasing dimensions of member 105 for allowing user to properly accommodate on resting unit, an inflatable cushioned padding get inflated for providing a comfortable experience to user, while resting/massaging, a motorized sliding unit 202 provides translation to bars 201, along with frame 107 to maintain an optimum distance from the user's eye, multiple telescopically operated pushers 203 extends to grip edges of phone, and a speaker 108 produce audio signals for notifying wakeup time, thus enhancing the user's convenience during sleep routines."
