MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020100 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 18, 2024, for 'adjustable golf-pit digging assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Navpreet Soni.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable golf-pit digging assistive device, comprising a platform 2configured with multiple wheels 1 to move the platform 2 on the surface, a touch interactive display panel 3 to provide input regarding an artificial intelligence imaging unit 4 unit to determine distance of the evaluated point, a hydraulically operated L-shaped rod 6 to extend/retract for positioning an expandable circular disc 5 having multiple blades 8 in proximity, a drawer arrangement 7 to extend/retract for increasing/decreasing dimensions of the blades 8, a DC motor 9 to provide rotational movement for penetrating the disc in the surface, multiple motorized hinge joints to provide converging movement to the plate, multiple electronically controlled nozzles 13 configured on the platform 2 for successfully inserting the pipe in the dig cavity, and nozzles 13 dispenses paint stored in a vessel 14 arranged on the platform 2 for spraying the paint on the inserted pipe."
