MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441013542 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 24, 2024, for 'adjustable fruit collection system for orchard.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable fruit collection system for orchard, comprises of an array of primary curve shaped plates 1 positioned on a sloppy surface of an orchard, multiple telescopically operated supporting legs 2 for providing support to primary plates 1 on surface, multiple angle sensors for detecting angle of surface, multiple secondary curve shaped plates 3 to properly cover area of orchard where each of plates 3 are accessed by workers for placing fruits that are manually plucked by workers from trees grown within orchard, multiple cameras 4 for determining presence of fruits on trees, a laser emitter 5 for emitting a laser beam towards detected fruits in order to assist user to pluck fruits from trees, multiple receptacles 6 for storing plucked fruits, multiple optical sensors and color sensors for detecting quality of fruits and multiple motorized hinge joints for translating fruits towards evaluated receptacle."
