MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018207 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 13, 2024, for 'adjustable foot comforting device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable foot comforting device, comprises of a foot sole shaped body 1 positioned within a footwear to be worn by a user, an ultrasonic sensor to monitor dimension of footwear, a motorized drawer arrangement 2 to provide extension/retraction to body 1 in order to regulate size of body 1 in accordance with detected dimensions, thereby enabling user to accommodate foot over body 1, a weight sensor to determine weight of user, an air compressor 3 linked with body 1 to inflate an inflatable unit 4 layered over body 1 in order to provide appropriate cushioning to foot, multiple electromagnetic springs 5 to provide support to the accommodated foot, an thermal imaging unit 6 to determine presence and location of any injury over foot, and a temperature sensor to monitor temperature of the foot multiple Peltier units 7 to regulate temperature of the foot."
