MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019717 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'adjustable flow regulating device for pipes.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Mukesh Kumar; and Dr. Pradeep Kumar.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable flow regulating device for pipes, comprising an inverted U-shaped telescopic frame 1 positioned over a pipe, a pair of C-shaped members 2 providing support to frame 1 over pipe, a laser sensor detecting dimension of pipe to extend or retract for accommodation of pipe between members 2, a microphone 3 for enabling a user to input voice commands regarding increasing or decreasing flow of fluid flowing through pipe, a motorized lead screw arrangement 4 for providing a vertical motion to a pusher to press or release of pipe that results in regulating flow of fluid, and a sensing module for detecting damaged portion of pipe for actuating a holographic projection unit 6 for projecting a holographic image on pipe that notifies user regarding damaged portion."
