MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411004410 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 22, 2024, for 'adjustable fencing wire tightening device.'

Inventor(s) include Manoj Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable fencing wire tightening device comprising a cuboidal shaped body 1 positioned on a ground surface, multiple motorized wheels 2 for providing movement to body 1, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 3 determines presence and positioning of fencing wire and synchronously microcontroller actuates wheels 2 for providing movement to body 1 to position body 1 in proximity to fencing wire, multiple telescopic rods 4 extends or retracts to position body 1 adjacent to fencing wire, a robotic link 5 configured with a circular disc 6 positioning disc 6 underneath wire, a pair of electromagnetically operated clips 7 actuated by microcontroller for gripping and securing wire, and a tactile sensor detecting hardness of wire for evaluating a tension and accordingly microcontroller actuates a motorized bearing 8 for rotating on its axis to wind wire around clips 7 to maintain optimum tension on wire."
