MUMBAI, India, Sept. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441012516 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'adjustable drilling assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable drilling assistive device comprises of, a frame 1 having a pair of vertical supports 2 developed to be positioned on a fixed surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 arranged on the frame 1 to generate a 3-dimensional map of the surrounding, a touch interactive display panel 4 integrated on the frame 1 for selecting a point of surface where drilling is to be performed along with a user-desired angle, a pair of motorized ball and socket joint 6 arranged on a cylindrical structure 5 installed on the frame 1 to provide tilting movement to the structure 5, an angle sensor arranged on the for monitoring angle of the frame 1 with respect to the surface, and a robotic arm 9 configured on the frame 1 for gripping a suitable drill bit, and a drilling unit 11 integrated with the frame 1 for drilling the cavity 7."
