MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020123 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 18, 2024, for 'adjustable drawing assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Poonam Thakur.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable drawing assistive device, comprises a frame 1 having a first and second elongated members developed to be positioned on a drawing surface, a clamping unit 5 integrated with the first member for getting clamped on an edge of the surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 installed on the frame 1 to determine pattern of a drawing positioned in proximity to the frame 1 which is to be traced by the user on the surface, a motorized pivot joint 7 integrated in between the first and second member for converging/diverging the members at the evaluates angles, a linear actuator 2 integrated on the second member for extending/retracting the second member to position a L-shaped calibrated scale 6 at a required position, and a speaker is integrated on the frame 1 to produce audio command for the user to draw the lines in an appropriate manner."
