MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411012471 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 21, 2024, for 'adjustable door holding device.'

Inventor(s) include Geetika Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable door holding device, comprises of a pair of U-shaped bodies 1 developed to be positioned by a user on the top and bottom portion of a door, multiple suction cups 2 for affixing the U-shape bodies with the door, multiple telescopic pins 3 for extending to secure the U-shaped bodies 1 on the door, a pair of telescopic rods 4 for extending to position an expandable disc 5 attached with each of the telescopic rods 4 inside the slot, a motorized sliding unit 6 for providing movement to an extendable plate 7 for covering the space between the door and the door frame, a microphone 8 to input details regarding opening and closing of the door, a pair of L-shaped telescopic poles 9 for extending to position a suction unit attached with the L-shaped telescopic poles 9 to push and pull the door."
