MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006622 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'adjustable door holding device.'

Inventor(s) include Navneet Katoch; and Anuradha Saini.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable door holding device comprises a circular ring 1 configured with at-least three rods 2 developed to be placed over a ground surface, motorized wheels 3 for maneuvering the ring over the ground surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 captures multiple images of a door, a pair of plates 5 coupled with a pair of pneumatic pistons 6 for gripping the door between the plates, a proximity sensor detects the accommodation of the door between the plates, a gyroscope sensor for detecting any tilt in the door, a motor-powered lifting arrangement 7 for uplifting the plates in upward direction, and a speaker 8 for producing sound."
