MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026122 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'adjustable cutlery holding device for table sides.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable cutlery holding device for table sides, comprising a flexible plate 1 positioned on a fixed surface, plurality of pockets 2 are accessed by a user for accommodating multiple cutlery in plate 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 determines dimensions of accommodated cutleries which are gripped by plurality of motorized clamping units 4, a motorized roller 5 unwraps a transparent sheet for covering top portion of cutleries, plurality of motorized sliding units 6 arranged on sides of pockets 2 and integrated with multiple motorized clippers 7 to translate clippers 7 towards end of unwrapped sheet, and followed by actuation of clippers 7 to acquire a grip on ends of sheet in order to stabilize cover on top portion of cutleries."
