MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026134 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'adjustable cutlery holding device for containers.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Pooja Bhatt; Dr. Nivedhika; and Karanjot Kaur.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable cutlery holding device for containers, comprising a plate 1 positioned in proximity to a container, plurality of suction units 2 integrated underneath the plate 1 for adhering the plate 1 on the container's surface, an imaging unit 3 installed on the plate 1 to determine dimensions of the container's surface, a pair of motorized clamping units 4 integrated on the plate 1 to grip the cutlery, a motorized roller 5 integrated on the plate 1 to rotate for unwrapping a sheet coiled on the roller 5, a motorized clipper 6 integrated on the plate 1 for covering top portion of the accommodated cutlery with the sheet, a chamber 7 arranged on the plate 1 that is accessed by a motorized gripper 8 installed on the plate 1 to grip a wiping tissue for wiping top portion of the accommodated cutlery."
