MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018808 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 14, 2024, for 'adjustable clothes drying assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Vishnu Prasad Shrivastava.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable clothes drying assistive device comprising a frame 1having a pair of bodies 2 mounted on a railing 11, an AI-based imaging unit 4 for capturing multiple images in vicinity of the frame 1, a pair of motorized clamping units 5 to acquire a grip on the railing 11's top, an elongated plate 6 deployed in front of the bodies 2, a motorized hinge 7 to deploy plates in front of the bodies 2, a motorized sliding unit 8 to translate links at regular distance from one another, extendable links 9 for accommodating wet clothes, a pair of robotic arms 10 for gripping and hanging of the clothes on the links, a canopy arrangement 3 to get deployed over the links to prevent the hung clothes from being wet due to rain and a speaker 12 to notify the user to collect the clothes from the frame 1."
