MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022632 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 22, 2024, for 'adjustable burrow digging assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an adjustable burrow digging assistive device, comprising an elongated body 1 having a proximal and distal end accessed by a user via a handle 2 installed at proximal end for acquiring a grip on body 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on body 1 for detecting user's height, a plate 4 attached at distal end and arranged with a pair of curved blades 5 which translate on a motorized sliding unit arranged in between the blades 5 and plate 4 to form a conical structure, a hydraulically operated link 6 attached in between distal end and plate 4 for applying force on plate 4 which in turn induces pressure on structure against the surface resulting in digging of a cavity on surface."
