MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006943 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 1, 2024, for 'adjustable book reading assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Navanjot Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable book reading assistive device, comprising a V-shaped frame 1 developed to be positioned on a ground surface, a weight sensor detecting placement of a book on said frame 1, after successful placement of said book actuates multiple motorized clippers 3 assembled on said frame 1 for gripping and clamping said book on said frame 1, a laser sensor detecting dimension of said book for actuating motorized sliding arrangement 4 for clamping said book, a display panel 5 for enabling said user to input command regarding turning of said book's page for actuating slider crank arrangement 6 providing movement to a pair of curve shaped tines 7 to turn page, and a sensing module detecting presence of rain along with intensity of wind blowing for actuating multiple inverted U-shaped links 9 in order to deploy a canopy."
