MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025430 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'adjustable bolt fastening/unfastening device.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable bolt fastening/unfastening device comprises an elongated body 1 having a proximal 2 and distal 3 end, a U-shaped frame 5 arranged at the distal 3 end that is positioned in proximity to a nut, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 6 monitors condition of a bolt engaged on the nut, an ultrasonic monitors distance of the frame from the nut and bolt, multiple extendable links 7 each integrated with a suction unit 8 affix the frame, a motorized roller 9 installed on the frame and coiled with a looped strap engaged on the bolt by the user, a tension sensor integrated on the roller for monitoring tension experienced on the strap, and a motorized ball and socket joint integrated in between the distal 3 end and frame providing angular movement to the frame with respect to the bolt."
