MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517055517 A) filed by D. G. N. S. R. L., Modena, Italy, on June 9, for 'adjustable base for mounting hinges for items of furniture.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable base (1) for mounting hinges for items of furniture, which comprises a fixing element (2) which can be associated with a component of an item of furniture, a supporting element (3) which can be associated with at least one component of a hinge (100), guiding means (3) of sliding guidance of the supporting element (3) with respect to the fixing element (2) along a longitudinal direction (L), and means (5) of sliding actuation, along the longitudinal direction (L), of the supporting element (3) with respect to the fixing element (2); the guiding means (4) comprise at least one female element (6) associated with one of either the fixing element (2) and the supporting element (3) or at least one male element (7) associated with the other one of either the fixing element (2) or the supporting element (3), the at least one female element (6) and the at least one male element (7) being coupled together so they can slide relative to each other along the longitudinal direction (L)."
