MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024696 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 27, 2024, for 'adjustable anti-slip tape laying assistive device for stairs.'

Inventor(s) include Krishan Gopal; and Dr. Divya Sharma.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adjustable anti-slip tape laying assistive device for stairs that comprises of an elongated body 1 having a proximal and distal end, a handle 2 is fabricated on the proximal end that is accessed by the user, artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on the body 1 for capturing multiple images, a suction unit 5 configured on the bar 4 for removing the deposited dust, a wiping unit 6 installed on the bar 4 to provide a wiping movement to the deposited water, a telescopically operated L-shaped for positioning the wiping unit 6 on the surface, a motorized roller 7 coiled with adhesive tape arranged on the bar 4 for unwrapping/wrapping the tape, a pair of robotic grippers are integrated on the bar 4 for positioning the gripped, an air blower 8 is integrated on the body 1 for blowing air over the wiped surface."
