MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202547085524 A) filed by Hoist Fitness Systems, Inc., Poway, U.S.A., on Sept. 9, for 'add on weight system for an exercise machine.'

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An add-on weight selection system for an exercise machine having an add-on weight panel configured to be lifted together with a selected number of stacked weight plates; and an add-on weight selection mechanism for moving the add-on weight panel between: an engaged position such that the add-on weight panel engages with the weight plates to be lifted and is lifted together with the selected weight plates, and a disengaged position such that the add-on weight panel disengages with the weight plates to be lifted and is not lifted together with the selected weight plates."
The patent application was internationally filed on Jan. 24, 2024, under International application No.PCT/US2024/012751.
