MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010101 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'adaptive shielding device for rescue operations.'
Inventor(s) include Prashant Kumar; and Shri Bhagwan.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptive shielding device for rescue operations, comprising a rectangular body 1 developed to be held in hand of user for shielding user's body 1 while performing rescue operations, a laser sensor mapped on the body 1 for detecting distance between user's eye and body 1, an extendable frame 2 mounted at first portion of the frame 2 to extend up to the user's eye for providing protection, a camera 3 for capturing images of surrounding, a force sensor for detecting force applied by mob on body 1, a pair of extendable shafts 4 to extend towards ground surface for positioning suction cup 5 for adhering body 1 on surface, a flashlight 6 installed on body 1 to illuminate high-intensity light towards mob, multiple nozzles 8 connected with chamber 7 for dispensing water over fire and an articulate robotic arm 9 to move obstacle from path."
