MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311079711 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Nov. 23, 2023, for 'adaptive noise cancellation device for ears.'

Inventor(s) include Sahil Verma; and Rini Saxena.

The application for the patent was published on May 30, under issue no. 22/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An adaptive noise cancellation device for ears comprises of a rubberized cylindrical body 1 arranged with multiple hemispherical members 2 developed to be inserted on an ear pit portion of a user, an inlet 3 for allowing passage of air from inlet 3, a cavity 4 installed with a filtering sheet 5 to allow passage of air within ear portion of user, a laser measurement sensor for detecting dimensions of ear pit portion, a ball-bearing arrangement to translate members 2 to secure body 1 over ear portion, a sound sensor for detecting intensity of noise, a noise cancellation unit 6 for reducing intensity of noise, a sound amplifying unit 7 for amplifying sound, a moisture sensor for detecting any presence of water content over body 1 and an iris lid 8 for closing inlet 3, thereby preventing any direct contact of water content with ear pit portion of user."
