MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641043493 A) filed by Rns Institute Of Technology; Moulya H V; G Namratha; Keerthi N; Gandikota Vaishnavi Harika; Naveen Kumar B M; and Jeevitha M, Bangalore, Karnataka, on April 6, for 'adaptive multi-factor iot security lock with intelligent intrusion detection.'

Inventor(s) include Jeevitha M; Naveen Kumar B M; Gandikota Vaishnavi Harika; Keerthi N; G Namratha; and Moulya H V.

The application for the patent was published on April 17, under issue no. 16/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to an advanced electronic security locking system that integrates adaptive authentication, intelligent monitoring, and tamper resistant mechanisms to enhance access control. The system is built around a microcontroller platform such as Arduino Uno and incorporates multiple authentication methods including password input, biometric verification, and dynamic one time passwords generated through a mobile application. A servo driven locking actuator performs the mechanical locking and unlocking operations based on validated authentication signals. The proposed system further includes a behavior based monitoring module that analyzes access patterns and detects unusual activities such as repeated unauthorized attempts or access during abnormal time periods. In such events, the system automatically activates a security protocol that temporarily disables access and sends alerts to the authorized user via a wireless communication module. Additional tamper detection sensors monitor vibration, forced entry, or casing removal and trigger protective responses. The lock can also communicate with a cloud based logging system that maintains encrypted records of access events. By combining adaptive multi factor authentication, intelligent anomaly detection, tamper detection hardware, and IoT enabled monitoring, the proposed invention provides a scalable, secure, and cost effective smart locking solution suitable for residential, institutional, and industrial security applications."
